EVENTS FOR APRIL 2015

♥  EVENTS FOR APRIL, 2015!  ♥

★★★ MONTREAL STRIP SPELLING BEE - CAPES Edition! ★★★ APRIL 3, 2015
RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1566849233597824/

The game is played a lot like strip poker, but it's a spelling bee, and it's played in front of a live audience of hooters, hollerers and hecklers who want to see some smart and sexy skin!

♥ Books 4 Kids Read 2 Adults ♥ APRIL 7, 2015

RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1595086280706626/

While the lovely Tessa Brown reads from a book, its pages are projected on the wall behind her so the audience can simultaneously experience its magic. Discover tales old & new, and chime in afterwards when we have a moderated discussion about each story!

The books that will be the topic of discussion this time are:
(1) I want my Hat Back.
(2) The Hole in the Dyke.
(3) The Giving Tree.
(4) The House That Crack Built.

Unlike an actual book club, do not endeavour to have fully read these books before arriving. Let yourself experience them for the first time at the event!

♥♥♥ TORONTO QUEER SLOWDANCE ♥ PROM EDITION! ♥♥♥ APRIL 11, 2015

RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/394469944066456/

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Toronto Queer Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. Since this is our PROM edition, and we will have a complimentary PHOTOBOOTH with a charming, sparkling backdrop, you should feel free to get all dapper & dandy, frilly & fabulous if you are so inclined, as your amazing outfit will be immortalized in digital by our fantastic photographer Bryanna Reilly.

Finally, you do not have to be queer to attend this party, but you must have an open mind, an open heart, and have open arms. Do keep in mind that the majority of folks attending are LGBTTIQQ2SA, so if you are stridently straight, and have very fixed notions of who it's normal to dance with, this may not be the most receptive community for you.

 ♥♥♥ MONTREAL SLOWDANCE! ♥ Oldies Edition! ♥♥♥ MAY 1, 2015

RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/351973111678362/

With a lending library of designated dancers for all you wallflowers, and a dancecard-booklet to set up dances in advance (should you choose to), Montreal Slowdance has all slow songs, all night long! (Except for the occasional intermission when we play the fastest songs we can find!)

As this is our OLDIES edition, the lion's share of the songs will be from the 20s, the 50s, the 60s and 70s.
It's high school with a happy ending. Come and experience why slow is beautiful, and why love is not ironic.

This event is MIXED and for EVERYONE: queer, straight, bi, poly, non-gender-binaried, those who identify as Complicated and those who are Late-Onset Awesome.

PS. Fabulous and inspired attire, while desired, is not required. But it would be AWESOME and HAWT. Since this is our OLDIES edition, you should feel free to dress all fancy-like, whatever that means to you, if you are so inclined.
